The Embassy of Canada in Korea is pleased to share the following opportunity regarding Samsung Electronics’ Global Sourcing Program 2026. This initiative may be of interest to Canadian robotics and technology companies exploring global supply chain and partnership opportunities.
About the Opportunity: Samsung has shared a detailed list across multiple product lines, including robotics. The Embassy of Canada to Korea in Seoul facilitates the process by collecting and submitting applications; final selection decisions are made solely by Samsung Electronics. While participation does not guarantee a commercial contract, it offers selected companies a valuable opportunity for direct engagement with Samsung’s engineers and procurement teams.
Who Should Apply: This opportunity is well suited to Canadian SMEs and technology companies offering innovative products, components, materials, or solutions aligned with Samsung’s sourcing needs. Prior experience working with Samsung or in Korea is not required.
Application Details (for companies)
Application deadline: Friday, May 22, 2026 (Canada)
Submission: Reach out to Jee-Eun.Sung@international.gc.ca if you would like access to the application form and kindly let them know that you were referred by the CRC. Completed application forms are sent to sohee.park@international.gc.ca.
A short pitch deck (5–10 slides) or company overview is strongly encouraged
Program Timeline: The program runs from May to September 2026, culminating in virtual meetings with Samsung Electronics during an online sourcing exhibition in late September:
May 22: Application deadline
End of May: Applications submitted to Samsung Electronics
End of June: Review and selection by Samsung Electronics and its International Procurement Center (IPC)
July–August: Preparation for online seminars; collection of demo videos/samples
4th week of September: Online sourcing exhibition, including virtual meetings and technical discussions with Samsung engineers and researchers
Selected companies may be contacted directly by the Embassy or Samsung’s IPC in North America for additional information.
